Matt
OWNER / HEAD COACH
South-East London born & bred - Matt is a Loughborough Sports Science graduate & a former British Champion & International Long Jumper.
With over 15 years in the industry, Matt has worked with numerous elite athletes in both a performance & rehabilitation capacity.
He is comfortable coaching anyone from complete beginner, to Olympic athlete & is fully equipped to work toward all goals with every demographic.
Matt believes in the power of adaptive strength training for every body type & every goal.

Chris
GENERAL MANAGER / FITNESS COACH
Chris has coached alongside Matt since the inception of Finess Space back in 2018.Chris has decades of experience working with various demographics. He takes principles from his Strength & Conditioning background, alongside knowledge from years of playing National League rugby to help maximise every members’ potential.
Whether rehabbing an injury, preparing for a marathon or simply getting in shape - Chris does things properly. His training will be meticulously planned, yet innovative & always interesting.

Molly
FITNESS COACH
Molly is another South-East London native & a professionally trained dancer with 20 years of training.
She holds qualifications in Pre & Post Natal Fitness, Barre, and Yoga.
Molly’s training philosophy is holistic and client-focused, making everyone feel welcome and supported. She places great emphasis on technique and form, while ensuring clients have fun.
At Fitness Space, she thrives on the blend of professionalism and the family-like atmosphere, always bringing enthusiasm and care to her coaching.

FITNESS COACH
Yorkshireman Alex has been coaching at Fitness Space since 2021 & has grown under our mentorship into an exceptional coach.Alex is well versed in gaining strength, gaining muscle mass, weight loss, lifting development & technique, middle distance running, as well as being our lead Hyrox coach.
Alex has built an amazing community of Hyrox-loving members, having competed in both doubles & singles and championed our Hyrox affiliated status.

Gavin, with over 15 years of experience, is a celebrated athlete and personal trainer who has won multiple national titles and represented England.
He leverages his deep understanding of sports to help clients discover their inner greatness through challenging workouts, pushing them beyond their comfort zones.
Gavin’s additional studies in life coaching enhance his holistic approach, ensuring comprehensive support in both physical and mental aspects. His dedication creates a safe, encouraging, and challenging training environment for all his clients.

Kirt
FITNESS COACH
Kirt is a dedicated coach who prioritises movement quality, joint health, and injury prevention.With a decorated collegiate and professional basketball background, he excels in helping clients build a healthy relationship with training. Kirt focuses on the details, educating clients on both the 'why' and the 'how.' His principles are rooted in family and team values.
Kirt specializes in strength and conditioning, performance training, and functional movement. His favorite quote is, "The best ability is availability."

Kimberly
FITNESS COACH
Kimberly has 10 years of experience in the fitness industry across Singapore, Hong Kong, and London as a personal trainer and group class coach.Active from a young age through dance and competitive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for which she holds a brown belt, she adopts a holistic approach, focusing on gut health, hormonal health, sleep, recovery, and stress management.
Kimberly tailors programmes to each individual's unique needs, coaching a diverse range of clients from corporate professionals and pre/post natal women to athletes.
She specialises in strength training, fat loss, athletic performance, and pre/post natal training.

Fitness Space Surrey Quays was originally born from the idea to create a space that allowed me to train the elite athletes / professional footballers I coached.
However, whilst creating the space I spotted that there was a severe lack of ego-free, unintimidating training spaces within the industry.
That’s when I realised the opportunity to create both was possible. A relaxed & supportive training space, where everyone from complete beginners, to professional athletes can train & be coached by great coaches..ego-free, idiot free & results-driven.
The integration of technology to help track, guide & support members was a no-brainer due to my background in Sports Science.
Our technology & our app (through full Technogym integration), enables everyone to monitor progress & maintain accountability - our members love the data-driven approach & it allows us to celebrate all of our many wins (or give us a little kick up the bum when needed!).
As a team of coaches, we appreciate how lucky we are to be coaching our community of lovely, like-minded (yet so diverse) members & it makes our roles even more enjoyable!
